The art & craft on rock is the earliest form of artistic communication by human since the beginning of this world. In Odisha, the origin of rock art can be traced to 4,000 years. The region of western Odisha shares the same geographical and geological features as Central India. The region was a cradle of rock art. Gudahandi is a mountain of Satpura range is a 4,000-year-old rock art site in Kalahandi. Surrounded by spectacular mountains and jaw-dropping waterfalls, trekking to Gudahandi is an adventure by itself.
About 80 years ago, a temple of Lord Rama was built in this place. Because of this Ram Navami, a 9-day-long festival is celebrated every year is a grand way which attracts tourists from throughout Odisha.
